Job Summary :
In August 2024, USIP’s Latin America Program (LAP) launched the “Multi-stakeholder Dialogues to Address Social Conflict” project in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala under an Inter-Agency Agreement (IAA) with the United States Department of State -Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL)- for a period of two years.
The Project Officer will be located in Cobán, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala and will be the point of contact with the selected three municipalities, coordinating all activities related to the dialogues with key actors such as local government authorities, local civil society, indigenous communities, the National Civil Police, local business sector and local religious leaders during the length of the project. The Project Officer will help identify stakeholders, develop and maintain partnerships, offer context analysis and coordinate all project activities. The Project Officer will also help to oversee various contractors, and coordinate with consultants, researchers, and facilitators participating in this project.
The Project Officer will report to the Program Manager, who will be leading the project in Cobán, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala.
This is a full-time, term, Host Country National, Personal Services Contractor position based in Cobán, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, with regional travel.
