The Job
We are a remote-friendly law firm specializing in real estate and business litigation , and we’re looking for a highly capable Legal Assistant to help streamline our operations. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing evictions, court filings, contracts, and collections , ensuring every legal process is handled smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Evictions & Court Filings
Review leases, ledgers, and payment history to identify outstanding balances and late fees.Draft eviction complaints accurately and efficiently.File legal documents through eCourts , ensuring accuracy in public records.Keep track of court dates and missing information , proactively updating clients.Send automatic filing confirmations and case updates to clients.2. Transactional & Contract Work
Review and analyze contracts and agreements , ensuring accuracy.Manage client communication , responding to inquiries and tracking back-and-forth exchanges.3. Collections & Administrative Support
Process collections cases , efficiently handling repetitive legal forms.Maintain organized case files and track important deadlines .Provide responsive, client-focused communication , ensuring seamless legal support.The Profile
What We’re Looking For
Experience with court filings (landlord-tenant law is a plus).Strong contract review and drafting skills with attention to detail.Ability to analyze leases and financial records accurately.Highly organized , able to juggle multiple cases and deadlines.A quick learner who values accuracy in public filings.A people-person who communicates professionally and effectively with clients.Prior legal experience is preferred.Excellent written and verbal English skills .The Employer
